P N Panicker Foundation, the mother organization of P N Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra was established during the Sathabhishek year under the Chairmanship of Justice V R Krishna Iyer to spearhead developmental issues focusing on inclusive growth in tune with the technological advancement
Honouring the father of the ‘Library Movement in Kerala’, the late P.N.Panicker, since 1996, the State Government has been celebrating 19th June as the Day of Reading and following week as the Reading Week.
The initiative commenced in collaboration with P.N.Panicker Foundation, transformed into a mass movement, paving the way for the launch of Reading Mission 2022, various activities of this mission, to be implemented in School, libraries and academic institutions.
In light of the above, Kendriya Vidyalaya NPGC, Nabinagar (Library Dept.) is also going to conduct the following activity to implement the Reading Day 2021.

पर्यावरण के प्रति लोगों में जागरूकता फैलाने और पर्यावरण को सुरक्षित रखने के उद्देश्य से हर साल 5 जून को विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस (World Environment Day) यानी वर्ल्ड एनवायरनमेंट डे मनाया जाता है. इस दिन लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए कई तरह के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जाते हैं. इन कार्यक्रमों के ज़रिये लोगों को पेड़-पौधे लगाने, पेड़ों को संरक्षित करने, हरे पेड़ न काटने, नदियों को साफ़ रखने और प्रकृति से खिलवाड़ न करने जैसी चीजों के लिए जागरुक किया जाता है.
वैसे तो विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस वर्ष 1972 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा मनाया गया था लेकिन विश्व स्तर पर इसके मनाने की शुरुआत 5 जून 1974 को स्वीडन की राजधानी स्टॉकहोम में हुई थी. जहां इस दिन पर्यावरण सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया था और इसमें 119 देशों ने भाग लिया था.इस सम्मेलन में संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण कार्यक्रम का गठन किया गया था साथ ही प्रति वर्ष 5 जून को पर्यावरण दिवस मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया था. ये सम्मेलन 5 जून से 16 जून तक आयोजित किया गया था. इस दिन के लिए स्लोगन रखा गया था "केवल एक पृथ्वी" ("ONLY ONE EARTH").
वर्ष 2021 की थीम
हर वर्ष विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के लिए एक थीम निर्धारित की जाती है. इस बार इस दिन को मनाने के लिए वर्ष 2021 की थीम "पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र बहाली" (Ecosystem Restoration) निर्धारित की गयी है. इस दिन आयोजित होने वाले कार्यक्रम इसी थीम पर आधारित होंगे. पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र की बहाली पर पेड़-पौधे लगाना, बागों को तैयार करना और उनको संरक्षित करना, नदियों की सफाई करना जैसे कई तरीकों से काम किया जा सकता है. वर्ष 2020 के लिए विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस की थीम "जैव विविधता" (Biodiversity) वर्ष 2019 में "वायु प्रदूषण" ("Air Pollution") और उस से पहले वर्ष 2018 में इसकी थीम “बीट प्लास्टिक पोल्यूशन” ("Beat Plastic Pollution") रखी गयी थी.
इस बार विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस ऐसे समय में आया है, जब पूरी दुनिया कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण से जूझ रही है। इस साल विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस का मेजबान पाकिस्तान होगा। इससे संबंधित कार्यक्रम में 'ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र का एक दशक' भी लॉन्च किया जाएगा।

रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर का जन्म
बगाल के एक समृद्ध परिवार में हुआ । बचपन में शिक्षा के लिए उन्हें किसी स्कूल में
नहीं भेजा गया ।
कोलकाता में घर पर ही उनकी
शिक्षा का प्रबन्ध किया गया । एक विद्वान् शिक्षक उन्हे पढ़ाने आते थे । वे पढ़ाई
में अधिक रुचि नहीं रखते थे । हार कर उन्हें स्कूल में भी भरती कराया गया, लेकिन वहाँ भी वे मन लगाकर
नहींपढ़े ।
वे किताबें पढ़ना बिल्कुल
पसन्द नहीं करते थे । लेकिन ड्रामा, संगीत, कविता तथा कलाओ में उनकी
गहरी रुचि थी । सोलह वर्ष की आयु से ही वे कविताये और कहानियां लिखने लगे थे ।
उनकी रचनायें बडी रुचि से पढी जाती थीं ।
आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए उनके पिता ने उन्हें इंग्लैण्ड भेज दिया । लदन
में वे यूनिवर्सिटी कॉलेज में भरती हो गए । वही वे कुछ समय तक पढ़े, लेकिन बिना किसी परीक्षा को पास किए ही भारत लौट आए । उन्होंने कोई
डिग्री परीक्षा कभी पास नहीं की ।
अब तक वे प्रसिद्ध कवि हो गए थे । उन्होंने अनेक ड्रामा, उपन्यास, कहानियाँ और कवितायें लिखीं ।
धीरे-धीरे बंगाल के महानतम कवियों में उनकी गिनती होने लगी । उनका महानतम और सबसे
प्रसिद्ध काव्य ‘गीतांजलि’ है । उन्होंने मूल रूप में गीतांजलि की रचना बंगाली भाषा में की और
बाद में रचय ही उसका अंग्रेजी मे अनुवाद किया । उनकी कविताओं का देश और विदेश की
अनेक भाषाओं में अनुवाद हुआ । इनकी बदौलत वे समूचे ससार में प्रसिद्ध हो गए ।
रवीन्द्रनाथ
टैगोर को साहित्य के नोबल पुरस्वगर से सम्मानित किया गया । वे पहले भारतीय थे, जिन्हें नोबल
पुरस्कार मिला । इस पुरस्कार ने उनकी ख्याति में चार-चाँद लगा दिए । कलकत्ता
विश्वविद्यालय ने उन्हें ‘डॉक्टर ऑफ लेटर्स’
की उपाधि प्रदान करके सम्मानित किया । तत्कालीन भारत सरकार ने
उन्हें ‘सर’ की उपाधि से
विभूषित किया ।
अब
उन्होंने यूरोप, अमरीका, चीन और जापान का भ्रमण किया । वे जहाँ भी जाते, उनका भव्य स्वागत
होता था । लोग उनके ज्ञान की भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करते थे । उनकी असाधारण साहित्यिक
प्रतिभा तथा प्रभावशाली भाषणों का बड़ा सम्मान किया जाता था ।
1901 ई॰ में बोलपुर नामक एक
छोटे-से गाँव में उन्होंने एक स्कूल की स्थापना की । उन्होंने इसे ‘शांतिनिकेतन’ नाम दिया । यह स्कूल
विश्वभर में प्रसिद्ध हो गया । इसकी कोई विशाल इमारत नहीं है । यह स्कूल खुले
मैदान में लगता है । विद्यार्थी प्रकृति की गोद में विद्या प्राप्त करते हैं ।
संसार के सभी भागों से लोग
यहां शिक्षा प्राप्त करने आते है । उन्हे इस स्कूल में पढ़ना, लिखना, कला, संगीत, नाच और गाना सिखाया जाता है
। हमारी भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री श्रीमती इन्दिरा गाँधी ने भी कुछ समय यही शिक्षा
पाई थी ।
बिना छत का यह स्कूल संसार
में अनूठा है । जब तक यह संस्था जीवित है, तब तक इस महान् कवि, लेखक और दार्शनिक का नाम
अमर रहेगा ।

प्रतिभावान थे । वे एक सच्चे महात्मा थे और वैसे ही वे दिखाई भी देते थे । वे
लम्बे-लम्बे बाल रखते थे और उनकी लम्बी दाढी थी । उनके बहुत-से शिष्य थे, जो उन्हें बडी श्रद्धा से
गुरुदेव कहते थे ।
वे महान् कवि और
समाज-सुधारक थे । उन्होंने भारत का गौरव बढाया । भारत को ऐसे विद्वान् पर सदा गर्व
रहेगा । हम इतने महान् विद्वान्, कवि, लेखक और दार्शनिक को कभी न भुला पायेंगे ।
Ganga Quest is a competitive knowledge-building platform, an awareness initiative and scientific baseline determination exercise to assess the knowledge gaps and attitude orientation about Ganga and Rivers.
GANGA QUEST 2021
Ganga Quest is an international bilingual (Hindi and English) online quiz on Ganga being organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), an authority under Government of India which implements ‘Namami Gange’ programme and TREE Craze Foundation (TCF), a not for profit organization committed to Ganga, Rivers, and Environment.
Apart from engaging and creating awareness and knowledge among participants, Ganga Quest initiative aims at analyzing and evaluating the nature of participation and status of awareness among the participants. The targeted objectives are; Knowledge Building, Awareness Creation, Attitude Orientation, Knowledge Gap Assessment, and Baseline Determination. Its ultimate aim is to increase the public participation for ‘Namami Gange’ programme and to enhance ownership of children and youth for rivers and Ganga.
Anyone above 10 years of age can participate in the quiz!
Rules :
Anyone of age 10 years or above is eligible to participate in Ganga Quest.
Ganga Quest 2021 is a global quiz and therefore open to everyone irrespective of their nationality.
Participants willing to participate in Ganga Quest should register in the website with a valid ID, such as students admission no. or school id for school students or Aadhar Card for school passouts. However, if Aadhar Card is not available, participant can enter any other valid ID details.
Valid ID includes passport, birth certificate, and school ID.
Mass registration is available for schools/universities/institutions/organisations.
Students from school should mention the correct details of their schools. If the details of the schools are found incorrect, then they may get disqualified as the verification process will not be complete.
Since the quiz is online, participants must ensure accessibility to computer and Internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 512 Kbps.
Anyone who has graduated from school must take care in providing correct personal details to ensure validation.
Name of top 3 scorers in four categories will be published on TREE Craze Foundation and NMCG website after verification of details.
In case of entering any incorrect detail and multiple registrations, the participant runs into the risk of disqualification and hence should be avoided.
Only one prize can be claimed per individual. In case of the same person winning more than one prizes, he would be awarded with the prize with higher value.
Keeping in mind the current COVID scenario, a virtual prize distribution ceremony shall be organised. No travel allowance shall be reimbursed for claiming the prizes.
